At 14:00 on Thursday, April 15th, in order to promote the progress of One Teacher, One Excellent Course and build the integration of industry and education, improve the quality of the teaching team and update the concept of higher education, the teaching and research department of the Second Department of International Education invited Dr. Chen Wei from the School of Management of Guangzhou Institute of Technology and Business to our school to conduct a lecture on the theme of integration of industry and education and building a dual-teacher and competent teaching team.
She pointed out that the purpose of this lecture is to make our professional teaching more closely related to the actual needs of enterprises, to enable our professional teachers to keep abreast of the actual development of enterprises, industries, and technologies, and to enable our students to better meet the needs of enterprises, so Dr. Chen Wei was invited to give us this lecture.
The lecture focused on the integration of industry and education and the construction of a dual-teacher and dual-competent teacher team. With vivid and detailed cases, he shared a feast of ideas on integration of industry and education in applied curriculum reform. Dr. Chen started from reviewing the top-level design of the concept of integration of industry and education and sorted out the important documents issued by the state on integration of industry and education from 2013 to the present; from 'Why do we need integration of industry and education? ' The course will also cover the following topics: 'Why do we need to integrate industry and education?', 'What are the differences between applied and vocational undergraduate programmes? The programme also covers the characteristics and common models of industry-education integration, as well as the combination of industry, teaching and learning, so that students can be more quickly exposed to the working mode, management system and working methods of enterprises outside the classroom, and use theoretical knowledge to promote the accumulation of experience and skills in the workplace. The seminar also discusses that the integration of industry and education is the only way to develop modern applied education and is a key link in the development of education reform. The lecture also introduced the concept of localized curriculum and the dream of applied education development.
After the lecture, Assistant Dean Sun Cai Ping commented on Dr. Chen's brilliant lecture. He highly appreciated the content of Dr. Chen's lecture and thanked him for clarifying the concepts and effective ways of integrating industry and education. The teachers also actively discussed with Dr Chen.
Finally, all teachers expressed their appreciation for Dr Chen Wei's wonderful lecture: they benefited from listening to Dr Chen's lecture, which was very inspiring for teachers in their future topics and teaching. In the future, teachers will integrate their own practical experience and learning experiences into the teaching process, and students will be able to improve their abilities quickly through validation practice based on the teachers' experience. This will coincide with Dr Chan's idea of teachers' experiences becoming students' experiences.
