At 9:30 am on March 22, 2019, the School of International Education had the honor to invite Dr. Mingru Sun from Birmingham City University in the United Kingdom and Mr. Lu, the school representative, to our school for an exchange visit.

Yu Xunliang, Associate Dean of Guangzhou Institute of Technology, He Yiping, Associate Dean of International Education School of Guangzhou Institute of Technology, Wang Beibei, Office Director of International Education College of Guangzhou Institute of Technology, Xia Huafeng, Associate Dean of Open School of Guangzhou Institute of Technology, and other relevant school leaders and three ministries of International Education College All members of the student union attended this event.

At the symposium, representatives from both sides expressed their views on international cooperation, and hoped that through the cooperation between the two universities, further international education cooperation projects can be carried out to increase students’ satisfaction in studying. Dr. Sun then introduced the basic situation of Birmingham City University to the students and learned from the university. The geographical location, school rankings, entrance IELTS score requirements, employment prospects and other aspects of Birmingham City University have fully demonstrated the advantages of Birmingham City University, allowing students to understand the conditions for continuous improvement and development that Birmingham City University can provide.

Afterwards, Yu Xunliang, vice dean of Guangzhou Institute of Business and Technology, presented souvenirs to the guests and took a group photo with them on behalf of the college.

The students and teachers expressed that the format of this activity was active, which not only enhanced everyone's international vision, but also gave everyone a deeper understanding of the international project cooperation between the two universities.
