He received his Master's degree in Economic Law from the National Overseas Chinese University in 2003 and his PhD in Law (Civil and Commercial Law) from the Macau University of Science and Technology in 2007. On 27 November 2011, he was awarded the finalist prize in the 'Macao Economic Essay Competition' organized by the Macao Economic Association. He has served as Chairman of the General Assembly of the Macau Cultural Heritage Guides Association, Vice President of the Macau Cultural Tourism Guides Association (1st term), member of the 8th and 9th Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference in Danzhou City, Hainan Province, and President of the Macau Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao-Gulf Region Tourism Research Association.
