While in school, Students can apply for the vocational qualification certificate for E-Sports Operator and E-Sports Player.

 

Educational Goal

This major is market-oriented, serving the regional economy of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. It aims to promote a comprehensive development of all-round moral, intellectual, physical and aesthetic grounding with a hard-working spirit in students. It Broadens students’ horizons, equips them with the ability to better communicate, enable them to adapt to the development of the digital age and the information society, helps students to master the application of digital content creation and production related software and hardware. It also enriches their knowledge of the e-sports industry and allows for innovative thinking, and cultivates their observation for the future of the industry. It prepares students to serve in the fields of event planning, event organization and execution, e-sports directing, video production, film and television planning or to assume technical role in media and cultural related fields.

1. We are one of the first undergraduate colleges offering e-sports majors in Guangdong Province. ere, you can fulfill your e-sports dream with the help of our outstanding teachers.

2. We have worked with industry experts to compile the first set of e-sports textbooks in the country. Textbooks are certified as the ' 13th Five-Year Plan Innovative Model Textbook for General Higher Education'

3. An interest-oriented core curriculum of the e-sports industry has been added to digital media technology curriculum, in order to boost students' motivation to learn and future employment competitiveness.

4. Regular college leagues are held, where students can assume positions of operations, planning, choreography, commentary, refereeing and other e-sports post. Students participate regularly in online practical activities based on real projects of the company to accumulate work experience in e-sports.

5. In order to improve internship and employment opportunity, we have teamed up with Tencent E-Sport to organized E-sports education and employment Alliance. More than 70 leading enterprises are members of the alliance. We have also set up the Shanghai internship base (Shanghai International New Cultural and Creative E-sports Center) integrating international e-sports event center, e-sports industry headquarters, e-sports industry incubator, animation industry, etc.

Core Curriculum: computer programming, database system principles and applications, digital audio and video processing technology, 3D modeling and animation, computer graphics, game architecture design, virtual reality technology, digital photography and videography, computer graphics and image processing

Further studies and career development

Graduates of this program can apply for a master's degree program at domestic and foreign universities to continue their studies, or choose to work in or outside of China. Career paths mainly include television, print advertising, animation production and other information media fields are responsible for film and television post-production, content operation management, computer networks development and operation management, multimedia systems, content production and operation, event planning, organization and execution, and guidance in the e-sports industry chain, editing and broadcasting, marketing, business promotion, etc.
