6月17日晚，国际教育学院三分院英语角活动在综Ⅱ-202智慧教室顺利开展。
本期英语角以“Lights, Camera, Action!”为主题，由 ELIJAH TAKYI MENSAH 老师主讲，SEGLAH PATIENCE AFI 老师参与互动交流。20余名同学通过影视欣赏、角色扮演、互动游戏和小组讨论等形式，在轻松愉快的氛围中感受英语表达的魅力。
活动中，同学们结合电影场景，学习情绪表达，真正跳出课本，在真实语境中打磨口语。同时，大家在互动体验中感受中西文化差异，了解不同文化背景的沟通逻辑和表达习惯，真正做到学以致用。
On June 17th, the fourth English Corner of the semester was successfully held in Smart Classroom II-202. Led by ELIJAH TAKYI MENSAH and supported by SEGLAH PATIENCE AFI, students explored English through movie-themed activities, role-playing, games, and group discussions. Through participation and interaction, students practiced useful vocabulary and gained a deeper understanding of communication across cultures.
看懂故事，不只依靠对白
随后，同学们观看了一段以经典喜剧人物Mr. Bean为主角的趣味短片。
与传统英语学习活动不同，影片几乎没有复杂对白，而是通过人物动作、表情和情节推动故事发展。同学们需要通过观察画面内容理解故事，并尝试用英语描述所看到的场景。
这一环节让大家意识到，语言表达不仅来自于单词和句子本身，也来自于观察、理解与情境判断。即使面对陌生环境或不同文化背景的人们，很多时候依然可以通过非语言信息实现有效沟通。
Watching Stories Beyond Dialogue
Students watched a short Mr. Bean video clip and practiced understanding the story through observation.
Without relying heavily on dialogue, students learned how body language, expressions, and context can also play an important role in communication.
从观众到演员：把电影场景搬进课堂
在Acting Challenge环节中，同学们根据电影片段进行角色还原。
其中，一组同学选择演绎《Kung Fu Panda（功夫熊猫）》中的经典场景。面对失落的伙伴，角色用简单却真诚的话语表达关心：“Poor you, you must feel terrible. Let me get you some soup.”（你一定很难受吧，让我给你拿点汤。）
两位同学通过模仿人物动作、神态和语气，将电影中的互动生动呈现出来。大家不仅需要理解台词内容，也需要体会角色之间如何表达关心与支持。通过角色代入，同学们进一步感受到语言不仅是单词和句子，更是一种传递情感和建立沟通的方式。
During the Acting Challenge, students recreated scenes from famous movies. One group performed a scene from Kung Fu Panda, using both language and body movements to express care and encouragement. Through role-playing, students learned how communication involves emotions, expressions, and cultural understanding, not just vocabulary.
聊聊最喜欢的角色：从电影走向真实交流
走进角色背后的故事
活动最后，同学们围绕“Favourite Movie & Favourite Character”展开小组讨论。
大家分享自己喜爱的电影角色以及原因。有同学喜欢阿宝（Po）面对困难时始终坚持成长的态度，也有同学欣赏超级英雄承担责任、守护他人的精神。讨论过程中，SEGLAH PATIENCE AFI老师与各小组围坐交流，引导同学们进一步思考角色背后的价值观以及不同文化中的人物塑造方式。
在轻松自然的交流中，同学们不仅锻炼了英语表达能力，也学会从更多角度理解电影与文化。
In the final discussion session, students shared their favourite movies and characters. They discussed qualities such as perseverance, responsibility, courage, and teamwork, while exploring how different cultures portray these values through storytelling.
光影落幕，交流不停
随着活动接近尾声，同学们共同合影留念，为本学期最后一期英语角画上圆满句号。
从电影故事到角色体验，从语言表达到文化交流，同学们在轻松愉快的氛围中收获了知识、友谊与自信。
期待未来再次相聚，在新的主题中继续探索语言与文化的精彩世界。
The evening ended with a group photo and wonderful memories. Through movies, role-playing, and discussion, students experienced the power of language and the richness of cultural exchange. We look forward to meeting again in future English Corner activities.
